1 Thessalonians 5:11

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

"I Am a Child of God"

Ephesians 5:1-2New Living Translation (NLT)

Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

It’s that time of the year again. Please join us Life Changing Ministries & Sisters Building Sisters Worldwide Ministries as we connect with Ministries worldwide for a 21 days cooperate Daniel fast. The starting and ending dates of the fast are 1/7/18 until 1/27/18. Preparation is key in any fast so let’s get ready to prepare as we go before the throne for 21 days with our Heavenly Father. If any of you are on medication or are under doctors care my advice to you would be to check with your physician and pray and seek wisdom from God before joining in with the fast. Prayer is the key before doing anything.

Q: What is fasting?

A: Fasting is a sacred time in which we humbly abstain from food, or other pleasures, and take the time to focus on God and go deeper in our prayer life. Fasting is one of the most powerful spiritual disciplines. Through fasting and prayer, the Holy Spirit can transform your life. Fasting is a way to demonstrate to God and to ourselves that we are serious about our relationship with Him. Fasting should not be considered a "dieting method.” We shouldn't fast to lose weight, but rather to gain deeper fellowship with God while on a spiritual fast.

Q: Why should you fast?

A: Fasting draws us closer to God. It enables the Holy Spirit to reveal our true spiritual condition. It brings deliverance and healing. It takes you into a deeper place with God.

Getting ready for the Spiritual fast

In preparation for this amazing time with God we are about to have, I strongly recommend that you examine your heart, and detect any unconfessed sin. Scripture records that God always requires His people to repent of their sins before He will hear their prayers. (Psalm 66:16-20) King David said: Come and hear, all of you who reverence the Lord, and I will tell you what he did for me: For I cried to him for help, with praises ready on my tongue. He would not have listened if I had not confessed my sins. But he listened! He heard my prayer! He paid attention to it!

Blessed be God who didn't turn away when I was praying, and didn't refuse me his kindness and love.

During your time of prayer, confess not only obvious sins, but less obvious ones as well. The sins of omission as well as the sins of commission experiences.

Getting ready for the Physical fast

Although fasting is primarily a spiritual discipline, it begins in the physical. You should not fast without specific physical preparation. If you plan on fasting for several days as we are for 21 days you will find it helpful to begin by eating smaller meals before you abstain altogether. Cutting down on your meals a few days before you begin the fast will signal your mind, stomach, and appetite that less food is acceptable. I also recommend weaning yourself off caffeine and sugar products to ease your initial hunger or discomfort at the early stages of your fast. Trust me it works.

  Main Points

Make sure you have a place to pray and seek God daily. Stay in your word and anoint your head daily.

Q: Why am I fasting?

Q: What am I fasting from?

Q: What I’m declaring the results of this fast to be for my life ?

Each day of the fast journal your walk for 21 days. Get a note book, or journal, pen, highlighter and get ready to seek God and hear the voice of the King of Kings, the Great I am. Allow the Lord to lead and guide you into what He will have you do in 2018.

Only fasting that is done with the right motive, that of glorifying God, can be
pleasing in His sight.
